Pickup Installation & Electronic Modifications

Our objective is to bring your instrument to its fullest potential, giving you better tone and functionality. We have extensive background with guitar electronics and modifications.

Electric

Add switching mods for more tones and functionality. Your pickups can be re-wired or replaced to get new voices and outputs to drive your amp in different ways. We can rout new cavities if necessary.

Acoustic

Different guitars respond better with specific brands and types of pickups. We are highly experienced with different acoustic systems and we are happy to make recommendations.

Let's bring your instrument to its fullest potential. Our goal is to give you better tone and functionality.

Our shop is highly experienced with electronic modifications, alterations and pickup installations of various kinds.  We are dealers for some of the best major brands for acoustic and electric pickups. You can also send us your new pickups with your guitar. Feel free to message us first to discuss options and to get recommendations that will suit your playing style and guitar type.

New pickups can make a world of difference to your tone. We'll also make proper setup adjustments while we have your guitar on the bench.

NOTE: This deposit will be applied to your final repair bill after materials and shipping are calculated. We require this deposit to send you our prepaid shipping label and start the process. Your final bill will show a flat rate $90 shipping charge, plus any other materials or parts.

Shipping Policy

We will send you a prepaid shipping label. Shipments are fully insured both ways if you follow our instructions. A flat rate $90 shipping charge will show on your final bill, along with any materials and/or parts.

Pickup Orders

The estimate is for the labor portion only and does not include the cost for any pickups or parts. We encourage you to order your pickups through us unless you want a brand we don't carry.

Turn Around

After we receive your instrument, most jobs are completed within 2-3 weeks. Large repairs, restorations and reconstructions can take much longer. If we need to order parts or pickups, please allow an extra 7-10 days.

FAQ's

What happens after I make the deposit?

We will contact you within ONE business day for a consultation and then provide you with an estimate for the services. If you approve we will then send you a prepaid shipping label with instructions. Otherwise we will refund your deposit. If you need a box be sure to add the shipping box and chose the right size.

What if I decide not to send my guitar? 

If you decline after the consultation and quote, we will happily refund your deposit.

What is included in the quote?

This deposit is for the labor portion of the service only. It does not include strings, parts, or the shipping charge. We add a flat $90 shipping fee to help cover the cost of sending the guitar both ways. Your initial deposit gets applied to the final bill.

How do I pack my guitar safely?

You must have a hard case. You will also need some packing material and packing tape. Follow our provided instructions. All shipments are fully insured.

How long does this process take?

We’ll contact you again as soon as we get your instrument. Setups are usually 3-4 weeks. Large repairs like re-fretting  generally take 4-6 weeks to complete. Restoration work can take up to 6 months.
