A Presentation on Tree Matter & Guitar Constuction
Friday, April 26th
Find out what's inside all Solstice acoustic guitars. This interactive discussion is for anyone interested in various woods, guitars, tone production, and trees!
Different wood species sound and feel different when you tap on them. This gets ultimately conveyed through their musical voice as an instrument, when the vibrational character and response can be felt as we interact with the material. Luthiers tap and test pieces of wood to discern these traits prior to selecting and working with them.
Join me for an evening learning about trees, wood cuts, and sound production. You'll get to feel and listen to different woods in the raw and experience their various qualities.
